AN-178
The Antonov An-178 is a short-range medium-airlift transport aircraft designed by the Ukrainian Antonov company and based on the Antonov An-158 (An-148-200).
It was announced on 5 February 2010, rolled out on 16 April 2015 and the first flight was on 7 May 2015.
The aircraft will have avionics suite similar to the An-148, and will use Progress D-436-148FM engines.
An-178 will replace the previous generation transport aircraft An-12, An-26 and An-32. The new aircraft is equipped with the same avionics and D-436-148FM engines as in the An-148 family. The production of the aircraft is planned to be organized at the Antonov Serial Plant; options for licensed production abroad are also being considered.
An-178 is a medium transport aircraft with a carrying capacity of 15-18 tons, (two standard sea containers). Its speed is 825 km / h, flight altitude - 12 km, flight range - 5.5 thousand km. The aircraft can land and take off from any airfields, including those with unpaved surfaces, which makes it suitable for defense as well.
